Marine Systems Custom Boat Builders of Southwest Harbor, Maine is made up of a crew of highly skilled individuals with vast experience and creative excellence in all areas of boat building and recognized as one of the most successful boat builders in Maine.

Eric Clark is at the helm of Marine Systems leading his crew under a refined set of processes giving his clients an extraordinary degree of confidence in his boats.

A native of Southwest Harbor, he worked in area boat yards with some of the best craftsmen in the industry learning the trade from the ground up. In 1988 Eric started Marine Systems and has completed numerous commercial, pleasure, and sport fishing boats since then. He brought all his knowledge and skills to a different vision. He wanted a classically styled hull form as a foundation for building a variety of custom boats.

The 42' hull for this Sport Fish was stretched to 46' by other boat yards, which prompted Marine Systems to build a new mold with a new design that could handle twin diesel engines as well as providing propulsion options that would include conventional inboards, water-jets, and surface drives. It was not long before the new mold was designed and the Acadia 46 was born.
